SUBSTANCE: invention relates to handling equipment. Hydraulic drive of rotary mechanism of jib self-propelled crane comprises pump, tank, hydraulic motor, hydraulic line, unilateral hydraulic locks, three-position valve with electromagnetic control valve or brake hydraulic cylinder, safety valve, inlet connection pipe is connected through a valve or hydraulic lines of hydraulic motor, and output is connected via check valves with hydraulic lines of hydraulic motor and two-position valve with hydraulic control. Hydraulic drive is also equipped with smooth start valve comprising a body, slide valve with variable area and a piston, which are spring-loaded. Inlet of housing is interconnected with slots of variable area and one throttle, connected with control cavity formed by piston and housing, and housing inlet is connected to outlet valve or and input of two-position valve with hydraulic control. Latter is connected with brake cylinder housing outputs and on-off valves with hydraulic control communicated with tank.

EFFECT: reduction of dynamic loads at start-up (stopping) of rotary mechanism by improving smoothness of control shaft rotation speed of hydraulic motor.
