FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: supersonic aircraft comprises fuselage accommodating cargo compartments with flaps. Note here that large-size lengthwise cutouts for cargo compartments are made at fuselage bottom. Cargo compartments feature tandem arrangement. Length and width of every compartment is confined by front, rear and side walls. Rear walls are skewed in flight direction and oriented at acute angle to vertical.
EFFECT: reduced drag and lower radar signature of these aircraft.
