SUBSTANCE: washing machine comprises a laundry basket inside a wash tank, heating means, feed system (6, 7) for feeding tap water into wash tank, discharge system for discharging liquid contained in wash tank, control device with program selector configured so as to automatically carry out washing program, recovery tank separate from wash tank and suitable for containing a portion of recovered liquid, recycling means that introduce, during one of steps of washing program, portion of recovered liquid from recovery tank into wash tank, and recovering means that, after at least one wash cycle step, feed a portion of liquid used during wash cycle from wash tank into recovery tank. Recovery tank comprises a second heating means, controlled by control device, in order to heat recovered liquid prior to feeding into washing tank.
