FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas industry, in particular, to reduction of natural gas, and is intended for use during transportation and consumption of natural gas. Disclosed method for reducing natural gas pressure comprises pipeline of given height, any section located vertically relative to earth's surface, filled with liquid, in which natural gas has low solubility factor, through which natural gas of high pressure main line in low pressure line.
EFFECT: natural gas pressure at outlet pipeline is below gas pressure at its input to value of hydrostatic fluid column pressure.
