FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: eyepiece with pinhole pupil comprises five lenses integrated into three optical components, from which first two components on side of image plane are made in form of glued lenses, and ocular component in form of a positive meniscus lens which faces eye of an observer. Front glued lens has negative optical power and its glued surface is wrapped with concave side facing image. Convex surface of eye lens has shape of paraboloid. Eyepiece can be used in optical sights for different types of small arms, as well as in periscopic observation instruments used for driving of heavy equipment. Position of exit pupil of eyepiece should not be less than 1.67 focal distance from last surface of eye lens, and angular field in space of exit pupil of not less than ±16.5°.
EFFECT: technical result is providing telecentric beam path in image space and improved image quality of edge zones of field of vision, in particular, reduced relative distortion of image.
