FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: to ensure relative narrowing when testing for tension in direction of thickness of not less than 35 % for making welded structures billet with thickness of not less than 250 mm is used from steel containing wt%: 0.09-0.12 C, 0.50-0.65 Si, 1.30-1.70 Mn, Cr≤0.10, Ni≤0.30, Cu≤0.10, Ti≤0.03, N≤0.008, Al≤0.05, S≤0.010, P≤0.018, Fe is rest, at that arsenization of continuously cast billet is performed to temperature of 1,190-1,210 °C, finish rolling is performed with total reduction of at least 30 % and single reductions of at least 7 %. For sheets with final thickness of up to 90 mm finishing rolling is started at temperature of 750-780 °C, and for sheets with final thickness of more than 90 mm is at temperature of 720-740 °C, and at temperature of 700-740 °C.

EFFECT: disclosed is method for production of silico-manganese steel at reversing mills.
