FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydroelectric power plant. Hydroelectric power plant comprises a first portion having an inner diameter which decreases in direction of flow adjacent to first portion of second portion (200) to accommodate turbine (400), unit (1000) for emergency shutdown in area of second portion (200). Inner diameter of second portion (200) has at least partially spherical contour. Turbine (400) comprises a plurality of turbine blades (440) located within second portion (200) in area of inner diameter with a spherical contour. Unit (1000) for emergency shutdown its first end at least partially received in second portion (200) through which water flows, so that when turbine blade (440) cease to rotate without runout, turbine blades come into contact with first end of unit (1000) for emergency shut down and thereby cause actuation of unit (1000) for emergency shutdown.
EFFECT: invention provides a hydroelectric turbine which is provided with hydraulically adjustable turbine blades.
