FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control spacecraft (SC) in the atmosphere. Method involves the change of aerodynamics of spacecraft, which provides its seating in preset area of planet surface. Spacecraft descent path is divided into two conditional sections. At the first of them intensive turning of spacecraft course in a position where its speed vector falls in vertical plane passing through the given point of landing. Then the spacecraft flight in formed vertical plane, where by controlling the angle of attack to achieve the required longitudinal range descent.
EFFECT: high accuracy of landing in a given region of the surface of the planet.
