FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: in one version presented internal relief valve includes a relief valve seat coupled to a first end of relief valve stem and to engage a first side of a sensing apparatus to prevent fluid flow between first side of sensing apparatus and a second side of sensing apparatus when internal relief valve is in a closed position. Bleed hole within a surface of sensing apparatus and separate from opening of sensing apparatus is dimensioned to provide a controlled flow rate between first side and second side of sensing apparatus when internal relief valve is in an open position. Seal is disposed along a body of relief valve stem upstream from bleed hole and valve seat to prevent fluid flow between first side of sensing apparatus and second side of sensing apparatus via opening of sensing apparatus when relief valve is in open position.
EFFECT: described are versions of an internal relief valve intended for use with fluid regulators.
