FIELD: computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer system mounted in rack, which comprises computer modules, modules of storage devices and power modules on common shelf module. At that, computer system includes rack, shelf module attached to post, and two or more electric modules. Module of shelf comprises two or more shelf links, which form slots for installation of electric modules. Shelf links are made adjustable to change width of slot. Shelf links can be adjusted to make row of two or more slots with partial width, having height, which value is multiple of 1/4 units of rack. Each electric module can contain chassis attached to module of shelf. Electric modules can be installed in slots of incomplete width.

EFFECT: technical result is optimization of heat removal to maintain continuous operation of servers, as well as optimisation of power consumption and volume of data exchange in network, prevention of errors of service personnel at unintentional excess amount of resources available for specific volume.
