SUBSTANCE: method for binding a bundle of leaves in a binding element with a U-shaped back with a base and upright arms and a hot-melt adhesive in back, includes introducing bundle in back, then heating up back to melt hot-melt adhesive, wherein a binding element is chosen in which bundle is received with a certain sideways clearance, and binding element with hot-melt adhesive in molten state is placed between two parallel pressure bars that are moved towards one another with a force in order to fold the arms towards one another.
