FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly to design of synchronous self-excited brushless generators for prolonged operation in power plants as a source of independent, as well as emergency and/or backup power supply. Synchronous generator comprises stator with winding, rotor, exciter, enclosed in housing and electrically connected to the generator equipment of systems of excitation, control and correction, terminal clamps and a connector for connection of external generator control devices installed under detachable protective casing on the chassis, fixed on the stator of the exciter. Chassis is made in u-shape to form separate sites for installation of equipment. Besides, at least at one of the chassis sites a system of parallel operation and/or safety system for identifying the type of accidents can be installed.
EFFECT: technical result-increasing compactness, maintainability and reduction of overall dimensions.
