FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely, to AC electric motors. Multipolar AC electric motor (fig. 1 and 6) containing rotor 2 with divisible by 4 number of permanent magnets, non-salient pole stator 1 with the number of poles equal to the number of permanent magnets on the rotor, rotor position sensor 3, control unit 4, bridge switch 5 and micro-controller 6. Magnet coils are also connected similarly to form the stator winding, in which winding of adjacent poles are connected in pairwise and counter-wise. Position sensor is made on four digital Hall sensors which enable to determine two switching positions at positioning the rotor for successful start and during operation of the electric motor, as well as coincidence of axes of radial symmetry of permanent magnets of rotor and stator and rotor position, ensuring successful start of electic motor in the preset direction of rotation.
EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring reliable start of electric motor in any of the specified directions of rotation.
