FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of extracting ions of heavy metals by sorption on natural cellulose-containing sorbents from solutions of different compositions and can be used to improve membrane and sorption technologies, in water treatment, in techniques for recycling ions of heavy metals from aqueous solutions and waste water of different nature. Method of extracting ions of heavy metals from aqueous solutions includes contacting of the solution at room temperature for 1-20 minutes with modified polymer sorbents based on cellulose at the solution/sorbent module equal to 50-200. Herewith the sorbents are modified by applying carbon nanotubes in ultrasonic effect with the working frequency of 22 or 44 kHz at room temperature for 2-10 minutes in an aqueous solution containing 3-12 % of polyacrylic acid and 0.1-1 % of nanotubes by weight of the sorbent at the solution/sorbent module of 10, followed by treatment of the sorbents in the solution of acrylic acid in presence of an initiator at the temperature of 60-90 °C while stirring for 30-90 minutes. Herewith the sorbents treatment with applied carbon nanotubes is performed in a solution containing 15-25 % of acrylic acid and 1.5-2.5 % of ammonium persulphate initiator by weight of the sorbent at the solution/sorbent module of 10, followed by washing, pressing and drying to the humidity of 8-14 %.
EFFECT: invention provides higher degree of extracting ions of heavy metals and lower sorbents treatment temperature.
