SUBSTANCE: device relates to a safety element for a kitchen appliance comprising a first coupling piece and a second coupling piece, comprising arms that, in order to transmit rotational torque, are supported in a rotationally fixed and force-fitted manner such that said arms release from rotationally fixed position when a predetermined limit torque is exceeded and thus decouple motor and processing instrument of kitchen appliance.
EFFECT: safety element can guarantee that damage to parts that are expensive and/or difficult to replace when drive of kitchen appliance is overloaded can be prevented.
