FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing three-dimensional models, specifically conversion of three-dimensional models using parallel processing. At stages of method 3D models are grouped in initial format into arrays of parts, bodies, representations, elements representing said representation of top, ribs, faces, polygon, and parallel processing is carried out simultaneously on at least two levels of a hierarchical structure of said 3D model.
EFFECT: shorter time of conversion of three-dimensional model from initial format to final format and is achieved by using parallel information processing.
