FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry, in making paper, chalk coating of paper in production of plastic materials, in agriculture and/or in production of paints. Aqueous suspension with high content of solid particles of inorganic substance and/or pigment and/or filler in a medium with acidic pH includes at least one calcium carbonate-containing substance, including calcium carbonate particles, and at least one salt of at least one strong acid. Strong acid is selected from a group consisting of acids, having pKa value less than or equal to zero at +23 °C. Obtained suspension has content of solid substances of at least 50 wt% of total weight of suspension. Brookfield viscosity of suspension at 100 rpm ≤ 1,000 MPa·s at temperature of -5 °C, pH < 6 at +23 °C and electrical conductivity between 10 and 100 mS/cm at -5 °C and +23 °C.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a suspension with high content of solid particles, which retains physical properties at low temperature and/or in an acidic medium.
