SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a system, computer-readable media and methods of creating flexible structural description. For creation of flexible structural descriptions document image of a specific type containing table is used. Position, describing one table entry is marked. Based on marked position header elements inside document are searched, data fields and reference elements are determined. For this type of documents, flexible structural description of document is created, which includes set of search elements for each of data fields on document image, as well as header elements. Flexible structural description is superimposed on image. Data are extracted from image in accordance with result of superimposing flexible structural description on document image.
EFFECT: technical result is automatic creation of structural description, used for extracting data from an object image.
