FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering of fibre materials and threads made of completely aromatic polyimides with high uniformity of physical and mechanical properties. Method of producing threads involves synthesis of initial polyamide acid (PAA) by polycondensation of aromatic diamines and a dianhydride of pyromellitic acid in A medium of dimethylacetamide, moulding PAA threads using a wet method with subsequent stretch drawing, flushing, combined with application of imidisation catalyst, drying, as well as a step of thermal imidisation.
EFFECT: invention provides process of producing complex polyimide fibres with specific breaking load of not less than 60 cN/tex, modulus of elasticity of not less than 12,000 MPa, breaking elongation 12-15 %, heat resistance of not less than 85 %, oxygen index of not less than 55 % and coefficient of variation of mechanical properties of not more than 5 %.
