FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in radio monitoring systems. Said result is achieved by that the method of searching for sources of radiation (SR) of composite signals involves coherent reception of SR signals by spatially spaced apart receiving channels, synchronous conversion of the received signals into digital format and their further processing in a digital receiving device for the SR signals detection, their frequency-time tracking and identification, determination of the SR bearings, herewith before processing the received signal in the digital receiving device performed is digital formation of M directional diagrams (DD) so, that a beam of each i-th DD is oriented in the direction of the i-th SR, and in the direction of the remaining M-1 SRs "zeros" of DD are formed.

EFFECT: technical result is the increase of efficiency of searching for radiation sources, signals of which have overlapping energy spectra and/or are simultaneously registered by spatially spaced apart receiving channels of a radio monitoring complex.
