SUBSTANCE: invention relates to input devices. Input device comprises a transparent keypad situated above a representation means, wherein keypad consists of a multitude of transparent keys, wherein functions are mapped to keys of keypad, functions being represented by means of symbols which are displayed within an area on representation means assigned to respective symbols and situated beneath single keys, wherein keypad and representation means are integrated in a common casing, and representation means can advance into input device with possibility of disconnection therefrom, wherein representation means has recognition means comprising, characterising keyboard assembly, a code which is read by read unit of input device, recognition means of representation means is connected with reading unit of input device and communicates therewith so as to enable determination of functions of keys, which enables one representation means to serve different input devices.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of input devices due to possibility of using same representation means in different types of input devices.
