FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to agrochemical compositions and methods of pest control of crops. Insecticide composition contains as an active substance a synergetically-effective combination of chlothianidin (I) and imidacloprid (II) at a ratio of 1:10–10:1, as well as synergetically-effective amount of active compound (III) from the class of synthetic pyrethroids, selected from the group: cypermethrin, alpha-cypermethrin, beta-cypermethrin, lambda-cyhalothrin, esfenvalerate, beta-cyfluthrin, tau-fluvalinate in ratio of chlothianidin (I) to said synthetic pyrethroid (III) in the range from 1:10 to 10:1. Pest control method of crops involves that pests and place of their habitation is treated with an effective amount of insecticide composition.
EFFECT: disclosed insecticide composition and pest control method provide the effective destruction of different types of pests without negative effect on the cultures.
