FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to multiprocessor computing environments and can be used for processing transactions in such environments. Method includes steps where a transaction is initiated via a transaction begin instruction, during execution of transaction, transaction may abort. If transaction aborts, a determination is made as to type of transaction. Based on transaction being a first type of transaction, execution is resumed at transaction begin instruction, and based on transaction being a second type, execution is resumed at an instruction following transaction begin instruction. First type of transaction is a limited transaction, second type is unlimited.
EFFECT: high efficiency.
