SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a high-density polyethylene composition for production of pipes or other products used in a piping system, having a resistance to damage in the presence of chlorinated and non-chlorinated water. The composition comprises multimodal high density polyethylene and a stabilizing system consisting of shielded phenol antioxidant, phosphonite or phosphine antioxidant, natural or synthetic hydrotalcite, and other optional additives.
EFFECT: improved oxidative induction time, long term stability, the pipe moulded therefrom have a longer expected durability.
