TORQUE FOR CUTTING PRECISE THREADS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B23G5/06

Abstract RU 2616755 C1

FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: tap includes intake portion, and a leading portion of the gauge section, the gears of which are made barrel-shaped. The radii ρ of curvature the cutting edges of the intake section operate in the range of 25 to 30 microns, the rounding radii ρ the cutting edges of the sizing portion within the range of 15 to 20 microns, and the radii of the rounding ρ front and rear edges of the leading portion in the range of 30 to 40 microns.

EFFECT: increase in the durability of the tap and to improve the quality and accuracy of thread cutting.
