VERTICAL LIFT PROPULSER Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B64C29/00

Abstract RU 2616998 C1

FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: propulser comprises of a cylindrical body, inside the middle part of which a gear is placed. The body has necks for attachment. A drive shaft passes through a hole in one of the necks. The upper and lower contra-rotation driven shafts are positioned vertically, and their free ends are fixed in bearings attached to the body by means of brackets. A straightener is mounted inside the lower body part. There are rotors on vertical driven shafts of the gear. Each rotor comprises of an upper and a lower cylindrical part, between which there is a conical part rotated by its base to the upper cylindrical part. The lower cylindrical part has a recess on its lower end surface. A cylindrical disc with fan blades is fixed in the recess. There is a recess on the upper end surface of the cylindrical part of the rotor. At the bottom of it there are double radial rows of vertical drilled holes connected to a suction chamber of an injection pump. Pumps are fastened to the side surface of the upper cylindrical part and their air intakes face in the direction of the rotor rotation.

EFFECT: improved performance of the propulser.
