FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protein adhesives and methods of producing and using such adhesives for making various articles from wood. Adhesive composition contains (a) from approximately 1 wt% to about 90 wt% of a chemically reactive prepolymer and (b) milled vegetal flour in an amount sufficient for dispersion of the chemically reactive prepolymer in an aqueous medium; the milled vegetal flour is produced from corn, wheat, sunflower seeds, cotton, rapeseed seeds, canola, castor oil plant, soya, camelina, flax, jatropha, mallow, peanuts, algae, sugar cane pomace, whey or their combination, or a recovered polypeptide composition obtained from vegetal biomass.
EFFECT: obtaining adhesives.
