FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: weld metal contains wt %: C from 0.02 to 0.12, Si from 0.18 to 2.00, Mn from 0.90 to 2.5, Ni from 1.0 to 3.5, Cr from 0.3 to 2.0, Al 0.030 or less (except for 0), N 0.015 or less (except for 0), O 0.050 or less (except for 0), iron and unavoidable impurities are the rest. Weld metal comprises retained austenite particles with a circle-equivalent diameter of 0.15 mcm or more, in an amount of 2.500 particles/mm2 or more. Volume fraction of retained austenite phase is 4.3% or more on all structures; and Cr content relative to Mn content, [Cr]/[Mn], is 0.20 or more.

EFFECT: weld metal has high resistance to hydrogen embrittlement, including tensile strength exceeding 780 MPa.
