FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes the step of marker compound addition to the said fluid, the marker corresponds to formula I: , where X is independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a bromine atom, a fluorine atom, partially or completely halogenated alkyl group, linear, branched, or cyclic C1-C20 alkyl group and a phenyl group substituted by one or more halogen atoms, an alkyl group or a halogenated alkyl group; Y is independently selected from the group consisting of a bromine atom, a fluorine atom, partially or completely halogenated alkyl group, branched or cyclic C1-C9 alkyl group and a phenyl group substituted with at least one alkyl group and/or a halogenated alkyl group; Z is selected from the group consisting of (i) a phenyl group substituted by one or more halogen atoms, aliphatic or halogenated aliphatic group, (ii) partially or fully halogenated alkyl group, or (iii) linear, branched or cyclic C1-C20 alkyl group. At that, if each Y is a fluorine atom, Z is not a linear or branched C1-C20 alkyl group. Also, a liquid formulation is provided.

EFFECT: invention allows to provide a method for hydrocarbon liquids marking which involves higher resistivity to marker removal.
