FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: device includes a bearing pipe made with the possibility of extension, with a filtering element on the surface. The bearing pipe is made longitudinally curved in the form of a C-shaped profile. The filtering element is represented by resilient material. The outer perimeter of the filtering element in cross section is equal to the internal perimeter of the casing string at the filter installation point. The method includes arranging the filtering element on the bearing pipe surface, descending the collected filter into the wellbore to the perforation zone, expanding the bearing pipe by means of moving the expanding mandrel through it in the axial direction until the filtering element abuts against the wellbore wall. The expanding mandrel is fixed on the rod string and installed below the filter. During expansion, the filter is retained by a tubing string. A truncated cone having a cross section repeating the internal filter cavity on the upper butt and smoothly converting into a cylindrical shape at the lower end is used as the expanding mandrel.
EFFECT: increasing the filter reliability and the manufacturability of its fabrication and installation in the well.
