FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: N1,N1,N4,N4-tetramethyl-2-butyne-1,4-diamine salt is proposed with N-phosphonomethylglycine of the formula (1), which is obtained by reacting N1,N1,N4,N4-tetramethyl-2-butyne-1,4-diamine with an equimolar amount of an aqueous solution of N-phosphonomethylglycine at 20-25°C and stirred for 2.5-3.0 h.
EFFECT: new compound is provided; it is effective as a herbicide for control of annual and perennial monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds, as well as a new effective method for its preparation.
