FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device for opening and closing sliding doors, wherein the doors located along the same line slide relative to each other to overlap each other so that the sliding door is opened or closed. The device includes a sliding portion formed on a surface on which the doors come in contact with each other, in order to prevent doors from grazing each other when being opened; a pair of guide frames on the upper surface of the furniture with a guide projecting upward so that each door slides in forward and backward along the guide, with the guide having two sides, which are formed by curved portions; and rotating elements, each mounted on one side of the connecting arm to rotate inside the curved segment of the curved section as they rise and slide along the guide. The opposite side of the connecting arm is attached to the upper edge of the door.

EFFECT: smooth opening and closing without any additional means for moving forward and backward, excellent workability in assembling of the parts because of simple design, reduced manufacturing costs.
