FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in dissolving in 20-25% sulfuric acid solution of dust caught when bronze waste calcining. Hard zinc is added to the resulting sulfuric acid solution, then it is precipitated, paste containing copper and lead oxides is separated from the slurry. The filtered zinc sulfate solution is treated with calcium compounds waste in two stages. In the first stage, calcium chloride is added to the solution to convert the zinc sulphate into chloride, and the obtained gypsum is separated from the suspension. In a second stage, the solution is neutralized with the flyout dust obtained by calcining the limestone, zinc oxide paste is separated and washed from calcium chloride with chemically purified water on the vacuum filter surface, and the resulting zinc white is dried and ground in a combined spray dryer at a temperature of 110-120°C.
EFFECT: reduction of energy and raw materials costs in dust waste processing to obtain the target product zinc white.
