FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: floor panels are provided with the mechanical locking system comprising a bar on the first edge of the first structural panel, which interacts with a bar groove on the second edge adjacent to the second construction panel, for the vertical mounting of the construction panels. The method comprises the stage of creating the bar from the first edge material. The mounting groove may have a side wall on the third edge adjacent to the first edge, and may be open at the fourth edge opposite the third edge.
EFFECT: simplification of producing the panels.
