FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: side frame of the railway truck contains the upper belt with consoles forming axle box apertures, the lower belt with a support platform, and two inclined belts with vertical columns, connecting the upper and the lower belts. In each inclined belt there are openings with external and internal flangings. The lateral surfaces of the inclined belt are connected by an inclined inner bridge cast into the inner flanging of the opening. Spring aperture is limited by the support platform of the lower belt, the upper belt and the vertical columns. The transition of the outer surface of the vertical column to the external surface of the lower horizontal belt in the lower corner of the spring aperture is made in the form of an inclined surface. The internal transition surface is similar by configuration to the outer transition surface and is made in the form of an inclined surface that is smoothly mated with the inclined inner bridge cast by its lower end into the transition area from the vertical column of the frame to the lower horizontal belt.
EFFECT: uniform distribution of stresses in the frame.
