FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: in the flame-extinguishing liquid supply manifold from the storage tank into its supply unit to the fire area, the unit of its heating is installed in order to obtain the superheated water. The flame-extinguishing liquid heating unit consists of the body, made of two coaxial profiled shells-cases, forming the inter-shell circular cavity, and the shells themselves can be attached to each other either by forges or by ribbed stiffener, made along the helix line. Passing through the inter-shell circular cavity, the flame-extinguishing liquid is heated by the heat of the jet of flame, created by burning the liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon fuel, supplied through a nozzle head, which is installed at the end face of the profiled shell-cases larger diameter. The oxidizer (air) is supplied into the combustion area by means of the through channels, made in the nozzle head, due to the ejection properties of the fuel combustion products.

EFFECT: by changing the channel flow sections area of the air supply into the combustion chamber, the fuel consumption, delivered to the nozzle head, the supply pressure of the flame-extinguishing liquid, the fire extinguishing process and the parameters of the superheated water-its temperature and flow rate, are controlled.
