FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing sulphided hydrocracking catalyst comprising the steps, wherein (a) amorphous aluminosilicate carrier is impregnated with a solution containing components with one or more metals of group VIB, components with one or more metals of group VIII and C3-C12 polyatomic compound by single-stage impregnation, (b) the treated catalyst carrier is dried at a temperature of at most 200°C to form the impregnated carrier, and (c) the impregnated carrier is sulfided to produce a sulfided catalyst, wherein C3-C12 polyatomic compound is sugar, sugar alcohol and/or sugar acid, and wherein the method is performed without intermediate calcination. The invention also relates to a method of hydrocarbon stream hydrocracking.
EFFECT: obtaining a more stable catalyst showing increased hydrocracking activity.
