FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing rice grits includes cleaning the grain mass from foreign impurities, peeling the rice grain, separating the peeling products into peeled rice, unpeeled rice and husks, and then polishing the peeled rice with obtaining rice grits. Before polishing, the peeled rice is sorted in a photoelectric separator by means of measuring its colour parameters - tone, saturation, and lightness. For polishing, the peeled rice is sent, meeting the following colour parameters: the tone - 29.58÷30.92 conv. units, the saturation - 71.16÷79.08 conv. units, and the lightness - 99.54÷109.64 conv. units.
EFFECT: invention use will allow to increase the yield of the finished product, as well as to obtain rice grits of high quality.
