SUBSTANCE: method includes obtaining an image of a field observation area which covers at least a portion of the mentioned component, for example, a perimeter boundary line of the playing area or a target; making an approximate determination of the collision location of a spherical element relative to this component or near it, by a system for object detection and recognition which can distinguish when the detected object is indeed a spherical element; automatic selection of one of the images obtained for the same time point and including the area where the mentioned collision occurred; and analysis of the selected image to verify whether or not the spherical element has collided with the component.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the location of the spherical element collision with the target.
