SUBSTANCE: gas turbine engine contains a very high-speed fan drive turbine. The ratio of the parameter determined by the product of the low pressure turbine discharge area by the low pressure turbine rotation squared velocity to the same parameter of the high pressure turbine is from 0.5 to 1.5. The high pressure turbine is installed by means of bearings located on the outer periphery of the shaft, which is driven by a high pressure turbine.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced dimensions of the turbine section.
