FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a powder hopper with a sealing roller arranged therein mounted to ensure frictional engagement with a metering drum provided with annular grooves. The device also comprises a scraper mounted to contact with the metering drum, guide plates, an electrode grid installed parallel to the metal strip and connected to high voltage source. In addition, the device comprises a discharge drum with annular grooves. The metering and discharge drums are installed to provide engagement of projections of the unloading drum annular grooves into annular grooves of the metering drum and configured to rotate in one direction. The guide plates are installed to change the angle of their inclination to the discharge drum surface. The hopper is arranged on side of the metering drum, and feeding rollers are installed therein to rotate in one direction with the metering drum.

EFFECT: providing application of metal powder coatings on the lower side of the metal strips, expanding the range of technical means of similar purpose.
