FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in the method including grinding of the coal washing plant wastes and their treatment with an aqueous solution of alkali, the coal washing plant wastes are used with a humidity of 10 to 40% and they are ground to a particle size of not more than 50 mm, and then the waste is treated with an aqueous 50% soda solution calcined in a reactor-mixer at a heating temperature of 200°C for 30 minutes, the slaked lime is added to the resulting homogeneous slurry and agitated for 60 minutes, wherein the components are used in the following ratio, wt %: ground coal washing plant wastes 60 to 65%; lime slaked from 5 to 10%; soda calcined from 15 to 20%; water - the rest.
EFFECT: producing coal-alkaline reagent from coal washing plant wastes under the simplified technology with minimum energy inputs and preserving the product quality.
