SUBSTANCE: herbicidal composition comprises: a herbicidally effective amount of (a) a compound of formula

or an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof and (b) a sulfonylaminocarbonyltriazone herbicide or an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof. The sulfonylaminocarbonyltriazone herbicide is flucarbazone, propoxycarbazone, thienocarbazone or salt or ester thereof, and the ratio of (a) and (b) is 5:1 to 1:5. The method for controlling unwanted vegetation includes its interaction with the aforementioned herbicidal composition, or applying it to the soil or adjacent water.

EFFECT: herbicidal composition has a synergistic effect.
