METHOD AND KIT FOR SCREW FIXATION OF METAL-CERAMIC BRIDGE PROSTHESES TO TEETH Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61C13/00

Abstract RU 2635440 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: at the first stage, therapeutic preparation of the prosthetic teeth is performed. At the second stage, root canals are prepared for metal inlays. To do this, partial root canal rupture at 1/2-2/3 of the canal length, extension of the root canals to the depth of rupture is performed. Then, the impression is taken to make the inlays. At the third stage, metal inlays are made with fixation, by casting or welding or glueing of tubes with an internal thread in the inlay centre along the vertical axis. At the fourth stage, fixation of metal inlays using glass ionomer cement is carried out, and a silicone or cotton wool plug must be inserted into the threaded hole to prevent cement from getting inside. At the fifth stage, the teeth are prepared for fused porcelain crowns. Then, an impression is taken to make temporary plastic crowns. The temporary plastic crowns are made and fixed with temporary fixation cement. At the sixth stage, an individual plastic impression spoon is made with holes in the projection of threaded holes. At the seventh stage, an impression is made for metal-ceramic bridge manufacture. Screw adapters are screwed into the threaded connections, 1-1.5 cm high, with a hexagonal or octagonal head. A double-layer mould made of silicone impression is removed with the individual impression spoon. At the eighth stage, the bridge frame is manufactured, but holes are formed in the projection of the screw holes of the inlays fixed in the teeth. Then, the frame is lined with a ceramic mass. At the ninth stage, the finished bridge is fixed to the teeth using the cement for temporary fixation. They are screwed to the inlays. Then excess cement is removed after hardening. Screw holes in the crowns are filled with a composite filling material. A set is used to implement the method.

EFFECT: prolonged life of the bridge and supporting teeth, without structure sawing and disposal in case of problems with supporting teeth or prosthesis elements.
