FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: ice drill consists of an auger with a cutting head, a hinged lock threaded joint of the auger axis with a brace drill handle and holder, which are connected by means of a thumb-nut. The auger axis is made in the form of tubular carrying element. The hinged lock threaded joint of the auger axis is made in the form of folding-unfolding assembly of the tubular carrying element, comprising a holder made in the form of a bushing with a cylindrical groove cut in its end. The bushing is rigidly mounted on the end of the tubular carrying element at an angle of 90° to its axis. A pin is inserted into the brace drill handle and is connected with a press-fitted pin entering the bushing groove.
