FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes extruding fragments of sunflower heads and stalks together with its seeds after their secondary cleaning and adding salt with additives. After extruding, the material to be processed is ground to a loose state, soaked in warm water at a temperature of 50-60°C for 30 minutes, dried to a moisture content of not more than 30%, then cooled to the temperature of 30°C, and ground sugar beet and silage are added as additives. All components are taken at a specified ratio. The resulting mass is infused in its own juice for no more than 2 hours and fed to the animals.

EFFECT: improving the quality of mixed feed, increasing its nutritional value, preventing gastrointestinal tract diseases of calves.
