SUBSTANCE: device for generating an alternating magnetic field of radio frequencies in the working area (3) contains an applicator (2) for emitting an electromagnetic field in the working area (3), an oscillator (4) for providing the alternating voltage (VRF) and the electric current (IRF) having a predetermined value and a predetermined frequency for the applicator (2), power supply means (5) for supplying voltage (VCC), substantially constant current to the oscillator (4), control means (6) associated with the power supply means (5) for adjusting the electrical parameters of the alternating voltage, alternating current and/or frequency provided for the applicator (2) by the oscillator (4). The control means (6) comprise an input port (7) connected to the power supply network (N), the first electronic control circuit (8) connected to the mentioned input port (7) for substantially instantaneous change of electrical parameters and instantaneous control of the field radiation power, the second electronic control circuit (10) for controlling the operation of the oscillator (4). The first electronic circuit (8) has an output (9) connected to the power supply means (5). The installation contains a device and a method for controlling the device.
