FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device includes a cover layer, an indicator layer, an activator layer, and an optional retardant layer. As a result of heating, moisture is released, which in some embodiments first migrates into the retardation layer, and then into the activator layer. There, the activator is made mobile and migrates together with moisture into the indicator layer. As a result of the interaction of the indicator with the activator in the presence of moisture, a colour change occurs, which indicates the excess of the critical temperature. The invention is a method of manufacturing a device according to the invention, as well as variants for its use, for example, in controlling the temperature of sensitive products.
EFFECT: increasing the indication reliability of the process of thawing deep-frozen products.
