SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multi-link hinge (1) for a piece of furniture with a fastening element (2) configured to be attached indirectly or directly to the furniture body and connected to a pivot door support (4) by a plurality of links (5a-5d) interconnected in the form of scissors. The hinge comprises a linear shock absorber (6) adapted to absorb both the closing movement and the opening movement of the door support (4). The multi-link hinge (1) is characterized by the linear shock absorber (6) being not active in the middle region of the door support (4) rotation range.
