FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for implementing the method of air circulation when it is supplied in compressed state to friction surfaces of the braking mechanism includes availability of external similar chamfers on relatively initial and actual gaps of end surfaces of friction pair elements and having constant angle therebetween equal to 12-14°, providing a liner on the working contact friction surface and during the triboprocess of the surface element brake pattern which is in the form of grooves with sections providing release of air from the actual gap into the atmosphere through the space between the chamfers.
EFFECT: reduced intensity of friction self-oscillations, reduced wear intensity of the friction pair, possibility to maintain required pressing force in the friction pair with simultaneous reduction of the working pressure.
